Laser / BBL
We employ Sciton lasers and light devices exclusively. We believe Sciton to be the Gold Standard of aesthetic lasers.
CBBL (Corrective Broad Band Light)
CBBL (Broad Band Light) is Sciton’s proprietary version of intense pulsed light, designed to safely flood the skin with healthy, restorative bandwidths of light, while totally eliminating harmful ultraviolet rays. In the BBL Corrective Phase, we aim for specific targets – dilated capillaries, pigment issues, rosacea, etc. Most of our patients achieve remarkable improvement in six weeks or less.
FYBBL Forever Young
FYBBL Forever Young, on the other hand, is the “long game” in laser/light technology, yielding progressive improvement in color, texture, fine lines and wrinkles. In a groundbreaking study, Dr. Patrick Bitter, Jr., professor of Dermatology at Stanford University, published results that defy conventional wisdom. 51 dermatologists compared photos, biopsies, and gene mapping from Dr. Bitter’s study. Each dermatologist considered the second set of patient data (ten years later) to be the younger patients! What’s the catch? Like flossing our teeth or changing the oil in our cars, it’s maintaining 3 or 4 treatments per year that pays the dividends. And for a bonus, there is a significant reduction in the incidence of skin cancer.
HALO is the world’s first and only hybrid fractional laser designed and engineered to offer safe and effective improvement in color, texture, fine lines, wrinkles, pores, and enhanced luminescence of the skin. And if that’s not enough, it stimulates production of your own hyaluronic acid (like Juvederm)! The procedure, performed in the safety and comfort of our office, creates the appearance of a sunburn, with mild swelling and redness. Downtime depends on your assessment of when to get back into the swing of things. Most people are comfortable waiting until the third or fourth day to return to work. By day seven you can expect healthy, luminescent skin for your business meeting or a night on the town.
TRL (Tunable Resurfacing Laser)
TRL (Tunable Resurfacing Laser) is the heavyweight of the Sciton lineup, using Erbium YAG technology. TRL improves deep lines and wrinkles, removes problematic pigment, and subtly tightens lax skin. TRL derives its name from our ability to precisely select the proper setting to achieve the desired degree of correction. Downtime varies, but most people can have the procedure done on Friday, take the next week off, and return to work the following Monday.
ProFractional allows us to use the same dependable 2940 wavelength of TRL, but in a unique fashion. We select 5.5%, 11%, or 22% coverage to achieve a regimented, pixelated pattern much like comic book art. By treating only a small fraction of the skin surface, we can go deeper for maximum stimulation and modeling of collagen without significant risk or increased healing time.
